Samsung Galaxy S9 / S9+ - Manage TTY Settings

Here's how to change the TTY settings on your Galaxy S9 / S9+.
TTY Settings allow Text Telephone devices (TTYs) to be enabled so that deaf and hard of hearing customers can use the telephone by utilizing a visual, instead of auditory, mode of communication.
  1. From a Home screen, tap the
    Phone icon Phone icon
    (lower-left).
    If not available, swipe up or down from the center of the display then tap
    Phone Phone icon
    .
  2. Tap the
    Menu icon Menu icon
    (upper-right) then tap
    Settings
    .
  3. Tap
    Other call settings
    .
  4. Tap
    TTY mode
  5. Select one of the following:
    • TTY Off
      : Disables all TTY settings
    • TTY Full
      : Enables all TTY settings
    • TTY HCO
      : Enables HCO (Hearing Carry Over)
    • TTY VCO
      : Enables VCO (Voice Carry Over)
