moto e5 play - Activate / Set Up Device

Here's how to set up your moto e5 play.

To activate the device on prepaid service, refer to Set up Verizon Prepaid Service.

If powered off, press and hold the

Power button

until the Motorola logo appears then release.

Select the appropriate language then tap

LET'S GO

From the 'Phone Activation' screen, tap

If prompted, enter the account PIN then follow the onscreen prompts (see Account PIN FAQs for additional info).

If activating a new phone, ensure the old phone is powered off.

From the 'Welcome' screen tap an option, select the preferred option.

If troubleshooting, don't restore the device until all testing has been completed.

From the 'Connect to Wi-Fi' screen, select a network then enter the password.

Tap

SKIP

to add a Wi-Fi network after setup is complete.

Tap

Skip

Enter your name then tap

From the 'Unlock with fingerprint' screen, select an option.

Tap

Skip

to add a fingerprint after setup is complete.

From the 'Google services' screen, select any of the following to turn on Switch on

or off

then tap

I AGREE

From the 'Email Accounts' screen, select an email account type then enter your sign-in info.

Tap

SKIP

to add your email account after the setup is complete.

From the 'About your privacy' screen tap

ACCEPT AND CONTINUE

Tap

GOT IT

to exit the device set up.
