Samsung Galaxy J3 V / Galaxy J3 (3rd Gen.) - Power Up in Safe Mode

Safe mode is a diagnostic state on your Galaxy J3 V / Galaxy J3 that only runs system apps so you can isolate if a third-party app is causing freezing or slowness.

With the device powered off, press and hold the

Power button

until the Samsung Galaxy J3 V screen appears then release.

An alternate method is available if the device can be powered on and is responsive.

With Samsung Galaxy J3 V still on screen, press and hold the

Volume down button

Continue to hold the

Volume down button

until Safe mode appears in the lower-left of the unlock or home screen then release.

This may take up to 45 seconds.

With Safe Mode enabled, test device and app functionality.
