Here's how to place a call from your Galaxy Note9.

From a Home screen, tap the

Phone icon

(lower-left).

If not available, swipe up or down from the center of the display then tap

Phone

Do one of the following:

Enter a 10-digit number then tap the

Dial icon

(at the bottom).

If necessary, tap

Keypad

(lower-left).

From the Contacts tab (lower-right), select a contact then tap the

Call icon
