Samsung Galaxy Note9 - Add / Remove Face Recognition

Here's how to set up and remove facial recognition on your Galaxy Note9.
  1. Ensure a secure screen lock type has been set up.
  2. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  3. Navigate:
    Biometrics and security
    Face Recognition
    .
  4. Enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  5. Do any of the following:
    • For first-time setup:
      1. Review the info then tap

      2. Review the info, select Yes or No then tap
        Continue
        .
      3. While holding the phone 8-20 inches away, position your face within the square displayed onscreen.
      4. If prompted, review the info then tap
        Continue
        .
      5. From the 'Stay on Lock screen' prompt, tap the
        switch
         to turn on or off then tap
        Done
        .
      6. From the Face recognition screen, tap the following to turn on or off (e.g., Faster recognition, Require open eyes, Brighten screen).
    • To remove face data:
      1. Tap
        Remove face data
        .
      2. To confirm, review the info then tap
        Remove
        .
