Replace Existing DeviceActivating your replacement or upgraded Apple Watch® ensures a smooth transition, letting you use your new device with your current cellular service.
Before you begin
These steps only apply when upgrading or replacing an existing Number Share device.
To activate the service, you must sign in as an Account Owner or Manager. For more on account roles, review Account roles.
If you're activating your Apple Watch on a new number for the first time, refer to one of the following:
Steps
- During the pairing and setup process, tapSet Up Cellularon your iPhone.If you're trying this after the initial setup process, follow the instructions in the 'Set up your cellular plan' section of this Apple support page.
- Enter your username to sign in to the My Verizon app or tap theRegister buttonif you haven't created an account for your mobile number.
- Enter your password.Once you sign in, the system performs checks to see if you're on a compatible price plan.An error displays if your price plan isn't eligible for Number Share. For more info on compatible plans, visit the Number Share FAQs.
- TapReplace an existing device.
- Select the device to replace then tapContinue.
- Verify the info then tapContinue.
- Provide a 911 address then tapUse this address.
- To continue, select (check) the Verizon Customer Agreement and then tapActivate now.
- From the You're all set screen, tapClose.
