Samsung Galaxy Tab A (10.5) - Turn Automatic App Restore On / Off

Here's how to back up and restore app data on your Galaxy Tab A (10.5).
  • 'Automatic restore' allows backed up settings and data to be automatically restored when an app is reinstalled.
  • When attempting to determine whether a third-party app is the cause of an operating system / app issue, ensure 'Automatic restore' is turned off prior to performing a factory data reset.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Accounts and backup
    Backup and restore
    .
  3. Ensure the
    Back up my data switch
     is on Switch on icon.
  4. Tap the
    Automatic restore switch
     to turn on Switch on icon or off Switch off icon.
