Verizon GizmoTablet - Manage Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure the hotspot settings (e.g., password, network name, timeout settings, etc.) on your GizmoTablet.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
     on your Verizon GizmoTablet™.
  2. Navigate:
    Connections
    Mobile Hotspot and Tethering
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  3. Tap the
    Menu icon
     Menu icon.
  4. Tap
    Configure Mobile Hotspot
    , configure the following then tap
    SAVE
    :
    • Network name (SSID)
    • Hide my device
    • Security (Open or WPA2 PSK)
    • Password
      The new password must be entered on the connecting device.
      1. Tap the Password field to remove the existing password.
      2. Tap
        SAVE
        .
    • Show password
    • Show advanced options
      • Under Broadcast channel, tap Use 5 GHz band when available to turn on or off.
      • Tap the
        Dropdown menu icon
         Dropdown menu icon to select the channel (Auto, 1, 2, 11, etc.).
  5. Tap
    Save
    .
  6. Tap
    Timeout settings
     then select a preferred option (e.g., Never timeout, 5 mins, etc.).
  7. Tap
    Allowed devices
     to restrict which devices are allowed to connect.
  8. Tap
    Allowed devices only
     to enable or disable.
  9. To add, tap
    Add
    :
    1. Enter the MAC address and device name then tap
      Add
      .
    2. Repeat steps as necessary. When finished, tap the
      back arrow icon
       Left arrow icon.
