Verizon Jetpack® MiFi® 8800L - Change Network Mode

If your MiFi 8800L drops data connections due to being near a network border, locking onto a specific network can help; however, roaming charges may apply
Changing advanced settings may be harmful to the stability, performance, and security of the Jetpack. Contact your local IT admin before altering advanced settings.
  1. From the Home screen, tap
    Menu
     in the lower left.
    If necessary, press the
    Power button
     on the top-right edge to turn on the display.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings
    Network Settings
    .
  3. View the setting:
    You can also view / change network mode settings info via the Admin Web Interface by navigating:
    Jetpack Settings
    Advanced tab
    Continue
     then editing the Preferred network technology dropdown menu.
    • LTE/UMTS
      : This is the only setting available. The preferred international carrier is automatically selected; however, you can manually select an alternate carrier but it may require as many as 6 registration attempts with that carrier before successful registration.
