KYOCERA DuraForce PRO 2 - Format SD / Memory Card
Here's how to erase all data on the SD / memory card of your DuraForce PRO 2.
- When the SD / Memory Card is formatted as portable storage, the stored data on the card can be transferred to other devices.
- When the SD / Memory Card is formatted as internal storage, it's encrypted to protect your stored data and cannot be transferred to other devices.
- This procedure erases all data on the SD / memory card. It's recommended to back up your data before formatting.
To perform the steps below, ensure the SD / memory card is inserted then do one of the following:
Format As Portable Storage
- From a Home screen, navigate:.AppsSettingsStorage
- TapSD card.The name of the SD / Memory Card varies by manufacturer.
- Tap theMenu icon

- TapStorage Settings.
- TapFormat.When formatted as portable storage, data stored on the card can be transferred to other devices.
- TapFORMAT SD CARD.
- TapDone.
Format As Internal Storage
- From a Home screen, navigate:.AppsSettingsStorage
- TapSD Card.The name of the SD / Memory Card varies by manufacturer.
- Tap theMenu icon
- TapStorage Settings.
- TapFormat as internal.When formatted as internal storage, data stored on the card cannot be transferred to other devices.
- TapFORMAT SD CARD.Allow several seconds for the process to complete.
- TapContinue.
- From the 'Move content to SD card?' screen, tapMove content.This moves media, apps, etc. from internal storage to the SD / Memory Card.
- TapDone.
