Transfer Content with Samsung Smart Switch Mobile App
Moving to a new Samsung phone? Learn how to use Samsung Smart Switch to easily transfer your photos, contacts, and apps so you can get started right away.
Before you begin
The Samsung Smart Switch™ Mobile app allows users to easily transfer content (contacts, photos, music, notes, etc.) to a new Samsung Galaxy device. Check out this Samsung support page for more info.
The following operating systems support transferring content via the Smart Switch Mobile app:
- Android™ (version 4.0 or later)
- Apple® (iCloud backup enabled)
- Some downloaded apps may not transfer via this process.
- Apps downloaded from the Play Store automatically download to the device upon signing into your Google account.
- If Play Store apps don't automatically download, you can download them from the Play Store.
- Apps downloaded from other sources must be re-installed manually.
