Lenovo tab 4 8 PLUS - Manage Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure the hotspot settings (e.g., password, network name, timeout settings, managed devices, etc.) on your Tab 4 8 PLUS.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & Internet
    Hotspot & tethering
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  3. From the Mobile Hotspot screen, ensure the switch is turned on.
  4. Tap
    Set up Mobile Hotspot
    .
  5. From the 'Set up Mobile Hotspot' screen, configure the following as needed:
    • Network name
    • Security (None or WPA2 PSK)
    • Password
      The new password must be entered on the connecting device.
      1. Tap the
        Password field
         to remove the existing password.
      2. Enter the new password.
    • Select AP Band
  6. Tap
    SAVE
    .
  7. View the CONNECTED DEVICES section for a list of devices currently using the hotspot.
  8. Tap the
    Menu icon
     Menu icon (upper-right) then tap
    Advanced
    .
  9. Tap
    Timeout settings
     then select an option (e.g., Never, 10 Minutes, etc.).
