Google Pixel 3a / 3a XL - Manage Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure the hotspot settings (e.g., password, hotspot name, timeout settings, etc.) on your Pixel 3a / 3a XL.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & internet
    Hotspot & tethering
    .
  3. Tap
    Wi-Fi hotspot
     then tap to turn on.
  4. From the Wi-Fi hotspot screen, set up the following then tap
    SAVE
    .
    • Hotspot name
    • Security (e.g., None, WPA2-Personal, etc.)
    • Hotspot password
      The new password must be entered on the connecting device.
      1. Tap the Hotspot password field to remove the existing password.
      2. Enter the password then tap
        OK
        .
  5. Tap
    Turn off hotspot automatically
     to turn on or off.
  6. Tap
    Extend compatibility
     to turn on or off.
