Sonim XP8 - Add / Remove a Wi-Fi Connection

Here's how to connect to a Wi-Fi network or remove a saved connection on your Sonim XP8.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & Internet
    Wi-Fi
    .
  3. Ensure the Wi-Fi switch is turned on.
  4. Perform one of the following:
    • Connect to an Available Wi-Fi Network
      1. Tap the preferred Wi-Fi network.
      2. If presented, enter the appropriate password then select
        Connect
        .
        To view the password as it is being entered, select (check)
        Show password
        .
    • Manually Connect to a Wi-Fi Network
      1. Tap
        Add network
        .
      2. From the "Network SSID" field, enter the appropriate name.
      3. From the "Security" field, tap the
        Dropdown menu
         Drop down menu icon.
      4. Tap the appropriate security option (i.e., None, Enhanced, WEP, etc.).
      5. From the "Password" field, enter the appropriate password.
      6. Ensure additional settings (e.g., EAP method, CA certificate, etc.) are configured appropriately (if applicable) then tap
        SAVE
        .
    • Remove a Wi-Fi Connection
      1. Tap the Wi-Fi network you wish to remove.
      2. Tap
        FORGET
        .
