Sonim XP8 - Restart in Safe Mode

Safe mode is a diagnostic state on your Sonim XP8 that only runs system apps so you can isolate if a third-party app is causing freezing or slowness.
  1. Press and hold the
    Power button
     until the 'options' menu appears on the screen then release.
    An alternate method is available if your Sonim XP8® can be powered on and is responsive.
  2. Touch and hold
    Power off
     until the 'Restart in safe mode' prompt appears then release.
  3. From the 'Reboot to safe mode' prompt, tap
    OK
     to confirm.
    Allow approximately 1 minute for the process to complete.
    Upon restart, 'Safe mode' appears in the lower-left of the unlock / Home screen.
  4. With Safe Mode enabled, test device and app functionality.
