Alcatel Avalon - Add a Virtual Private Network
Here's how to add a virtual private network (VPN) to your Avalon to encrypt your internet traffic and protect your online identity via a secure remote server.
- Open theSettings appon your Alcatel Avalon™.
- Navigate: .
- If presented with a lock screen notification, tapOK.Refer to Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock for assistance.
- Choose between Basic VPN and Advanced IPsec VPN.The procedures that follow are for setting up a Basic VPN.
- TapAdd VPN.
- From the 'Name' field, enter the appropriate name.If needed, contact the VPN admin for assistance with server info and credentials.
- From the Type field, tap thedropdown menu
then select the VPN type.
- Enter the needed information into the applicable fields then tapSave.If applicable, tapShow advanced optionsto configure the following options, which may vary depending on the selected VPN type:
- Server address
- DNS search domains
- DNS servers
- Forwarding routes
