Alcatel Avalon - Manage Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure hotspot settings (e.g., password, network name, timeout settings, etc.) on your Avalon.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
     on your Alcatel Avalon™ .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & Internet
    Tethering & Mobile Hotspot
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  3. Tap
    Set up Wi-Fi Hotspot
    .
  4. From the Setup Wi-Fi Hotspot screen, configure the following as needed then tap
    SAVE
    :
    • Network name (SSID)
    • Security (None, WPA2 PSK)
    • Password
      The new password must be entered on the connecting device.
      1. Tap the
        Password field
         then enter the preferred password.
      2. Tap the
        Show password checkbox
         to view the entered password.
  5. From the 'Connected devices' section, tap a device you want to disconnect, then tap
    OK
    .
    Up to 10 devices can connect to the Mobile Hotspot at one time.
  6. Tap
    Timeout settings
     then select an option (e.g., Never time out, 5 mins, 10 mins, etc.).
