Alcatel Avalon™ - Activate / Set Up Device

Here's how to perform a quick activation and set up for your Avalon.
To activate the device on prepaid service, refer to Set up Verizon Prepaid Service.
  1. If powered off, press and hold the
    Power button
     until the Alcatel logo appears then release.

  2. From the 'Welcome' screen, select the appropriate language then tap

  3. From the 'Phone Activation' screen, tap NEXT or ACTIVATE NOW (if available).
    If prompted, enter the account PIN then follow the on-screen prompts (see Account PIN FAQs for additional info).
    If activating a new phone, ensure the old phone is powered off.

  4. From the 'Connect to Wi-Fi' screen, select a network then enter the password.
    If you choose 'SKIP', you can add a Wi-Fi network after setup is complete.

  5. From the 'Set up your phone' screen, tap 'Set up as new' or 'Copy your data' then follow any further on-screen instructions pertaining to data transfer.
    If troubleshooting, don't restore the device until all testing has been completed.

  6. Sign in to your existing Google™ account or create a new one.
    If you choose 'Skip', you can add your Google account after setup is complete.

  7. From the 'Protect your phone' screen, select the preferred option.
    If you choose 'Not now', you can set up a screen lock after setup is complete.

  8. From the 'Access your Assistant with Voice Match' screen, tap 'I AGREE' or 'NO THANKS'.
    If you choose 'I AGREE' follow on-screen instructions to set up Voice Match.

  9. From the 'Anything else?' screen, tap
    NO THANKS

  10. From the 'Verizon Services' screen, tap 'Location Info' and/or 'Apps Info' to turn on Switch on or off Switch off then tap

    If you choose 'SKIP', you can set up Verizon Cloud after setup is complete.
