Android Sonim - Manage Adaptive Battery / Battery Optimization Settings

Managing battery optimization settings on your Sonim device helps extend its battery life. These settings learn your usage patterns and restrict power to apps you use less often, reducing unnecessary battery drain.

Before you begin

Android™ devices with the adaptive / optimization feature can enhance battery life by placing apps in Doze mode or App Standby.
The optimization setting is enabled by default. Disabling optimization may impact the device's battery life.
Optimization may cause certain apps like Voicemail, My Verizon and Gmail™ to stop functioning.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Apps & notifications
    Advanced
    Special app access
    .
  3. Tap
    Battery optimization
    .
  4. Tap the
    Dropdown menu
     then tap
    All apps
    .
  5. Tap the
    3-dot Menu
    .
  6. Select the desired app then tap
    Optimize
     or
    Don't optimize
    .
  7. Tap
    Done
    .
