Switching to a new device, traveling or troubleshooting a connectivity issue? Learn how to quickly and easily insert or remove the SIM card for your Galaxy A50.

Before you begin

Don't try to insert or remove the SIM card while the device is powered on because it may harm the SIM card or the device.

Steps

  1. From the left edge of the device with the display facing up, remove the card tray.
    Use the insertion/removal tool (or a paperclip) to unlock the tray by inserting it into the provided slot (figure 1) then remove the tray (figure 2).
  2. Do one of the following:
    • To insert a SIM card: Ensure the gold contacts are facing away from the screen and the notch is aligned with the SIM tray.

    • To remove a SIM card: With the tray removed, lift the SIM card from the tray.

  3. Insert the card tray then press in on it to lock it into place.
