Move Media Files to / from Computer

Connecting your Galaxy A50 to a computer allows you to move photos, videos or music to free up storage space or back them up to make sure your files are safe.

Before you begin

For an alternate media management solution, check out Verizon Cloud.
If using a Macintosh® computer, additional software is needed to transfer files.
Pictures, videos or music files can also be transferred to an SD / memory card.

Steps

  1. Connect your Galaxy A50 to a computer using the supplied USB cable.
  2. If prompted to allow access to your data, tap
    Allow
    .
    1. If necessary, touch and hold the
      Status Bar
      at the top of the screen then drag it to the bottom.
    2. From the list of notifications, locate then tap the USB option (e.g., USB charging, USB for image transfer, etc.).
    3. Select
      Transferring files
      .
  3. From your computer, open
    File Explorer
    or
    Windows Explorer
    .
  4. Using File Explorer or Windows Explorer, navigate:
    Galaxy A50
    Internal shared storage
    .
  5. Use the computer to copy media files between the applicable folder (e.g., DCIM/Camera, Download, Movies, etc.) on the device and the desired location on the computer's hard drive.
