Samsung Galaxy A50 - Add / Remove Face Recognition

Here's how to set up and remove facial recognition on your Galaxy A50.
  1. Ensure a secure screen lock type has been set up.
  2. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  3. Navigate:
    Biometrics and security
    Face Recognition
    .
  4. Enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • For first-time setup:
      1. From the 'Are you wearing glasses right now' screen, select 'yes' or 'no' then tap
        Continue
        .
      2. While holding the phone 8-20 inches away, position your face within the circle displayed onscreen.
      3. Tap the
        Stay on Lock screen switch
         to turn on or off then tap
        Done
        .
      4. From the Face recognition menu, tap any of the following
        switch(es)
         to turn each option on or off (e.g., Face unlock, Stay on Lock screen until swipe, etc.).
    • To improve face data:
      1. From the Face recognition menu, tap
        Add alternative look
        .
      2. From the 'Are you wearing glasses right now' screen, select 'yes' or 'no' then tap
        Continue
        .
      3. While holding the phone 8-20 inches away, position your face within the circle displayed onscreen.
    • To remove face data:
      1. From the Face recognition menu, tap
        Remove face data
        .
      2. To confirm, review the disclaimer then tap
        Remove
        .
