Here's how to turn permissions for installed apps on your Galaxy A20 on or off.
  • Downloaded apps designed for Android™ only ask for permission the first time you use a feature rather than asking for permissions out of context.
  • Turning off certain permissions may result in basic features no longer working as intended.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Apps
    .
  3. Locate then select the appropriate app.
    If system apps aren't visible:
    1. Tap the
      Filter and Sort icon
      Sort icon.
    2. Tap the
      Show system apps switch
      to turn on.
    3. Tap
      OK
      .
  4. If available, tap
    Permissions
    then do one of the following:
    • To allow an app permission:
      1. From the 'Denied' section, tap an available permission (e.g., Contacts, Location, etc.).
      2. Tap the preferred option:
        Permissions vary by app.
        • Allow only while using this app.
        • Ask every time.
      3. Tap the
        Back icon
        Back icon to return to App permissions.
    • To deny an app permission:
      1. From the 'Allowed' section, tap an available permission (e.g., Contacts, Location, etc.).
      2. Tap
        Deny
