Manage Unknown Callers / Senders Settings

Set up call screening options on your Apple® iPhone® to prioritize incoming calls and messages, which can assist in reducing unsolicited communications and maintaining focus.

Screen Unknown Callers

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Apps
    Phone
    .
  3. From the Screen Unknown Callers section, tap one of the following:
    • Never
    • Ask Reason for Calling
    • Silence

Screen Unknown Senders and Filter Messages

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Apps
    Messages
    .
  3. Tap the
    Screen Unknown Senders switch
     to turn on or off.
    To review messages from unknown senders, open the
    Messages app
    , tap the
    3-line Menu
     then tap
    Unknown Senders
    .
  4. Tap the
    Filter Spam switch
     to turn on or off.
