Stream TV - Add an Existing Google Account

Adding a Google™ (Gmail™) account to your 1st-generation Stream TV lets you download apps and services.
  • The steps below apply to the original Stream TV, which can be identified by the Ethernet port on the back of the device. If you have the 2nd-generation Stream TV model, refer to Stream TV - Add an Existing Google Account.

  • If you don't already have an account, visit this Google site for help.
  • Ensure your Stream TV is up to date as the following steps apply to the most recent version.
  1. If necessary, press the
    Home button
     Home button on your Stream TV remote to wake up your device.
  2. From the Stream TV Home screen, select the
    Settings menu
     Settings menu icon (upper-right).
    Utilize 5-way navigation pad on the remote to highlight and the center (OK) button to select.
  3. Navigate:
    Android TV settings
    Accounts & Sign In
    Add account
    .
  4. If prompted, from the 'Choose account type' screen select
    Google
    .
  5. From the 'Make the most of your TV' screen, select
    Sign In
    .
  6. Enter your Google account email address or phone number then select the
    Enter icon
     Enter icon.
  7. Enter your Google account password then select the
    Enter icon
