motorola razr - Move Media Files to / From Computer

Here's how to transfer pictures, videos or music files between your razr and a computer.

Only unprotected video / music files can be transferred using this method.

If using a Macintosh® computer, additional software is required in order to transfer files.

Connect your razr to a computer using the supplied USB cable.

If prompted to allow access to your data, tap

Allow

If necessary, touch and hold the

Status bar

(at the top) then drag to the bottom.

The image below is an example.

From the list of notifications, locate then tap the USB option (e.g., USB charging this device, USB image transfer, etc.).

If necessary, tap the notification to expand it.

Select

File Transfer

Selected when a dot is present.

From your computer, open File Explorer or Windows Explorer.

Using the computer keyboard, press the

Windows+E

keys

Alternatively, right-click

Start

then click 'Open Windows Explorer' or 'File Explorer'.

Using File Explorer or Windows Explorer, navigate:

Internal shared storage

motorola razr is listed under the 'Devices and drives' section of 'This PC'.

Device name reflects your device model (e.g., motorola razr) or its customized name.

Utilize the computer to copy media files between the appropriate folder on the device and the desired location on the computer's hard drive.

Some folders that may contain files on the device include:

DCIM\Camera

Download

Movies

Pictures

Music

When finished, disconnect the USB cable from the computer.
