National alerts can't be turned off.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Notifications
    Advanced settings
    Wireless Emergency Alerts
    .
  3. Tap the
    Allow alerts switch
     to turn on or off.
    • Extreme alerts
    • Severe alerts
    • AMBER alerts
    • Public safety alerts
    • State/local test alerts
