Samsung Galaxy Tab A (8.4 inch) - Add / Remove a Wi-Fi Connection

Here's how to connect to a Wi-Fi network or remove a saved connection on your Galaxy Tab A (8.4 inch.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
     Settings icon.
  2. Navigate:
    Connections
    Wi-Fi
    .
  3. Ensure the Wi-Fi switch is turned on Switch on.
  4. Perform one of the following:
    • Connect to an Available Wi-Fi Network
      1. Tap the preferred network.
      2. Enter the appropriate password then tap
        Connect
        .
        To view the password as it is being entered, tap the
        Show password icon
         Show password icon.
    • Manually Connect to a Wi-Fi Network
      1. Tap
        Add network
        .
      2. From the Network name field, enter the appropriate name.
      3. From the Security field, tap the
        Dropdown menu icon
         Dropdown menu icon.
      4. Tap the applicable security option (e.g., None, WEP, WPA / WPA2-Personal, etc.).
      5. From the Password field, enter the appropriate password.
      6. Tap
        Advanced
         then ensure additional settings (e.g., Anonymous identity, IP settings, Proxy, etc.) are configured appropriately.
      7. Tap
        Save
        .
    • Remove a Wi-Fi Connection
      1. Tap the Wi-Fi network you wish to remove.
      2. Tap
        Forget
        .
