Samsung Galaxy Tab A (8.4 inch) - Insert / Remove SIM Card

Here's how to properly insert or remove a SIM card for your Galaxy Tab A (8.4 inch).

Instructions on inserting / removing your SIM can help with activation issues / errors, browser connection problems and a blank or frozen screen.

Don't attempt to insert/remove the SIM card while the device is powered on. Doing so may harm the SIM card and/or the device.

Don't modify or alter your SIM card.

Ensure the device is powered off.

From the right edge of the device (display facing up), remove the card tray.

Utilize the insertion/removal tool (or a paperclip) to unlock the tray by inserting it into the provided slot then remove the tray.

Do one of the following:

Insert SIM card

Insert the SIM card into the tray as shown (gold contacts facing down).

Remove SIM card

Lift card from the tray.

Insert the card tray (gold contacts facing down).

Press in on the tray to lock it into place.
