Here's how to stop a running app if it causes your Galaxy Tab A (8.4 inch) to freeze, crash, reset or run slow.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Apps
    .
  3. Tap the
    Filter and sort icon Filter an sort
    then tap
    All
    .
    If system apps aren't visible, tap
    Show system apps
    .
  4. Locate then select the appropriate app.
  5. Tap
    Force stop
    .
  6. To confirm, review the message then tap
    OK
