Here's how to add a virtual private network (VPN) to your OnePlus 8 5G UW to encrypt your internet traffic and protect your online identity via a secured remote server.
Contact the VPN admin for assistance with server info and credentials.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Wi-Fi & Network
    VPN
    .
  3. Tap the
    Menu icon
     Menu icon then tap
    Add VPN Profile
    .
  4. From the Name field, enter the appropriate name.
    Contact the VPN admin for assistance with server info and credentials.
  5. From the Type field, tap the
    dropdown menu
     dropdown menu icon then select the VPN type.
  6. Enter the required info into the applicable fields then tap
    Save
    .
    If applicable, tap
    Show advanced options
     to configure the following, which vary depending on the selected VPN type:
    • DNS search domains
    • DNS servers
    • Forwarding routes
    • Username
    • Password
