Here's how to restart your OnePlus 8 5G UW if it crashes and resets, freezes or runs slowly.

Preferred Method

  1. Press and hold the
    Power button
     (right edge) and
    Volume up button
     (left edge) until the 'Power off'' prompt appears then release.
    If the device is unresponsive, attempt the alternate method.
  2. Tap
    Restart
    .
    Allow up to 30 seconds for the reset to complete.
    If your device won't power back on, partially charge the device then retry.

Alternate Method

  1. Simultaneously press and hold the
    Power button
     (right-edge) and the
    Volume up button
     (left-side) until the screen goes dark then release both buttons.
  2. Allow up to 15 seconds for the Boot Mode screen to appear.
    If your device won't power back on, partially charge the device then retry.
