OnePlus 8 5G UW - Restart in Safe Mode

Restarting your OnePlus 8 5G UW in Safe Mode puts it into a diagnostic state that only runs system apps so you can determine if a third-party app is causing freezing or slowness.
  1. Press and hold the
    Power
    on the right-edge and
    Volume up buttons
     on the left-edge until the 'Power off' prompt appears on the screen then release.
    An alternate method is available if the device is unresponsive or won't power on.
  2. Touch and hold
    Power off
     until the 'Reboot to safe mode' prompt appears then release.
  3. To confirm, tap
    OK
    .
    The process may take up to 30 seconds to complete.
    Upon reboot, 'Safe mode' appears in the lower-left of the unlock / Home screen.
