Activate / Set Up Device

Activate your Flex 5G laptop to get started. This ensures you can connect to the internet.

Before you begin

Make sure the Verizon 5G SIM card is inserted into the device.
New lines of service are activated when the device is powered on.
If you're upgrading an existing line of service, call the toll-free number (877-807-4646) once the device is received and follow the instructions to activate your Flex 5G. Ensure the previous device is turned off.

Steps

  1. Press the
    Power Key
     located on the keyboard. Select a language then select
    Yes
    .
  2. From the Basic screen, select
    meet Cortana
    .
  3. Select a region and the preferred keyboard layout.
  4. Connect to a Wi-Fi network.
  5. Review the Windows® 10 License Agreement then select
    Accept
    .
  6. Sign in with Microsoft®.
  7. Set fingerprint recognition fingerprint to sign in, select
    Set up
    .
  8. Select
    Create PIN
    , enter a PIN, re-enter the PIN then select
    OK
    .
  9. From the 'Do more across devices with activity history' screen, choose
    Yes
     or
    No
    .
  10. Select how to back up your files, choose
    Only save files to this PC
     or
    Next
    .
  11. To get help from your digital assistant, select
    Accept
    .
  12. Choose privacy settings for your device then read through the settings, adjust as wanted then tap or click
    Accept
    .
