Here's how to restore your Flex 5G laptop to default factory settings.
  • Before performing a factory data reset, ensure you back up all important data stored on the device and that it has a full battery life.

  1. From the Home screen, tap or click the
    Start key
     Windows Start key (lower-left).
  2. Tap or click the
    Settings icon
     Settings icon.
  3. Tap or click
    Update & Security
    .
  4. From the 'Update & Security' panel, tap or click
    Recovery
    .
  5. From the 'Reset this PC' section, tap or click
    Get started
    .
  6. From the 'Reset this PC' prompt, choose an option:
    • Keep my files
    • Remove everything
  7. From the 'Additional settings' screen, review current settings then tap or click
    Next
    .
  8. Tap or click
    Reset
    .
    If applicable, set up your device.
