LG Stylo 6 - Manage Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure hotspot settings (e.g., password, allowed devices, timeout, etc.) on your Stylo 6.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
     on your LG Stylo™ 6.
  2. Navigate:
    Network & internet
    Tethering & Mobile Hotspot
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  3. From the Mobile Hotspot screen, select
    Set up Mobile Hotspot
    .
    If unavailable, tap the
    Mobile Hotspot switch
    .
  4. From the Set Up Mobile Hotspot screen, configure the following as needed then tap
    SAVE
    :
    • Wi-Fi name (SSID)
    • Hide my phone
    • Security (Open or WPA2 PSK)
    • Password
      The new password must be entered on the connecting device.
      1. Tap the
        Password field
         then enter the preferred password.
    • Show password (may require scrolling)
    • From the 'Max users' drop-down menu, select the maximum number of hotpot users (1-10).
    • If needed, tap
      Show advanced options
      .
    • When Advanced options are enabled, configure the following:
      1. Tap the appropriate Broadcast channel (i.e. Auto-select, 1 - 11).
      2. Tap the appropriate 802.11 Mode (e.g., b only, g only, b/g/n).
  5. From the Mobile Hotspot screen, select
    Manage connections
    .
  6. To restrict which devices are allowed to connect, tap
    Allow all devices
     to turn on or off.
    To add a device, tap
    Add to allowed devices
     then select one of the following options:
    • Enter the name and MAC address then tap
      Save
      .
    • Choose a device from the list then tap
      Done
      .
  7. Tap
    Timeout
     then select an option (e.g., Never timeout, 5 mins, 10 mins, etc.).
