Activate your Galaxy Z Fold2 5G to get started. This ensures you can make calls, send messages, and connect to the internet.

Before you begin

Make sure there's a 5G SIM card is inserted into the device before powering on.

Steps

  1. Press and hold the
    Power button
     until the device begins to power on. Select your language then tap
    Start
    .
  2. Review the Terms and Conditions screen then tap
    Agree
    .
  3. Confirm the correct phone number displays then tap
    Next
    .
  4. Connect to a Wi-Fi network.
  5. To copy apps and data, tap
    Next
     to transfer your content now or tap
    Don't copy
    .
  6. Sign in to your Google™ account or create a new one.
  7. Set up a screen lock and face recognition or fingerprints to secure your device.
  8. Follow the onscreen prompts to review and accept the Google Services option (e.g., Gemini, Location, etc.).
  9. Tap
    Accept
     to add additional storage with Verizon Cloud or secure your device with Verizon Protect.
  10. Sign in to your Samsung account to access Galaxy-specific features.
  11. Tap
    Done
     to complete setup.
