LG G Pad 5 10.1 FHD - Enable / Disable / Modify SIM PIN

Here's how to change the SIM PIN for your G Pad 5 10.1 FHD or turn it on or off.
  • Enabling the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) Personal Identification Number (PIN) locks the SIM card so it can't be used until the correct code is entered.
  • If the incorrect PIN code is entered too many times, refer to My Verizon Website - Locate the SIM PIN / PUK to obtain a new PIN Unblocking Key (PUK).
  1. From a Home screen on your LG G Pad 5™ 10.1 FHD, Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Lock screen and security
  2. Tap
    Set up SIM card lock
     .
  3. Tap the
    Lock SIM card switch
    to turn on Switch on or off Switch off .
    If unavailable, ensure a SIM card is properly inserted .
  4. If prompted, enter the current SIM PIN.
    To change your SIM PIN, ensure the switch is turned on then do the following:
    1. Tap
      Change SIM card PIN
       .
    2. Enter the current SIM PIN (current SIM PIN) then tap
      OK
       .
      The default SIM PIN is 1111.
    3. Enter the new SIM PIN then tap
      OK
       .
    4. Re-enter the new SIM PIN then tap
      OK
       .
  5. Enter the current SIM PIN then tap
    OK
     .
