LG G Pad 5 10.1 FHD - Power Up in Safe Mode

Safe mode is a diagnostic state on your LG G Pad 5 10.1 FHD that only runs system apps so you can isolate if a third-party app is causing freezing or slowness.
  1. Ensure your LG G Pad 5™ 10.1 FHD is powered off.
    An alternate method is available if the device can be powered on and is responsive.
  2. Press and hold the
    Power and Volume down buttons
    .
  3. Continue to hold Power and Volume down buttons until the System Recovery screen appears (about 10-15 seconds) then release both buttons.
  4. From the System Recovery screen, select
    Safe mode
    .
    Use the Volume buttons to cycle through available options and the Power button to select.
  5. When the device starts, 'Safe mode' displays in the lower-left corner of the screen.
