TCL TAB 8" - Install Device Software Updates

Here's how to check for and install software updates on your TCL TAB 8.
  • Battery level requirements:
    • minimum of 40% (not charging)
    • minimum of 20% (while charging)
  • A system update won't be received while roaming.
  • An active Verizon SIM card is necessary to complete the update.
  • A system update can also be done over a Wi-Fi network.
  • If prompted to update the device, skip to step 4.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    System updates
    .
  3. Tap
    Check for new system updates
    .
  4. Do one of the following:
    • If advised your software is up to date, tap
      OK
      .
    • If a software update is available:
      1. Tap
        Download
        .
      2. Once the download has been completed, tap
        Install Now
