MOTOROLA ONE 5G UW - Manage Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure the hotspot settings (e.g., password, network name, timeout settings, etc.) on your Motorola one 5G UW.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & Internet
    Mobile Hotspot & Tethering
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  3. Tap the
    Mobile hotspot switch
     to turn on.
  4. From the Mobile Hotspot screen, configure the following as needed:
    • Hotspot name (SSID)
    • Hide my device
    • Security (e.g., None, WPA3-Personal, etc.)
    • Hotspot password
      The new password must be entered on the connecting device.
      1. Tap the Password field to remove the existing password.
      2. Enter the password then tap
        OK
        .
  5. Tap
    Advanced
     to configure AP Band (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz).
  6. Tap
    Manage devices
     to restrict which devices are allowed to connect.
  7. Tap
    Manage allowed devices
    .
    1. Tap
      Allow all devices
       to enable or disable.
    2. To add, tap
      Add allowed device
      :
      1. Enter the MAC address and device name (optional) then tap
        OK
        .
      2. Repeat steps 1 and 2 as necessary. When finished, tap the
        Back icon
         Back icon.
  8. Tap
    Device limit
     then select an option (e.g., 1-10)..
  9. Tap
    Timeout settings
     then select a preferred option (e.g., Never turn off, 5 mins, etc).
