Arris NVG558 Router - Factory Data Reset (FDR) / Restore Default Settings

Here's how to factory data reset (FDR) your NVG558 router and restore the configuration.
The Arris router is used for LTE Business Internet and 5G Business Internet (Installed) Solutions.
Expand All
  1. Sign in to the Admin WebGUI then click
    System
    .
    You must be connected to the network to access the admin page.
  2. From the System tab, click
    Reset
    .
  3. Click one of the
    Restore
     buttons:
    • Default Wireless Settings
      : restores the Wi-Fi settings.
    • Default Firewall Settings
      : restores firewall settings.
    • Factory Defaults
      : restore the entire Gateway to factory default settings.

  1. Sign in to the Admin WebGUI then click
    System
    .
    You must be connected to the network to access the admin page.
  2. From the System tab, click
    Reset
    .
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To save configuration, click
      Save
       then follow the system dialogue to save the configuration file.
    • To load saved configuration:
      1. Click
        Choose File
         then locate the saved configuration file and click
        OK
        .
      2. Click
        Load
         to load the configuration file.
        A restart of the Gateway is required for changes to take effect.
