TCL 10 5G UW - Add a Virtual Private Network

Here's how to add a virtual private network (VPN) to your TCL 10 5G UW to encrypt your internet traffic and protect your online identity via a secure remote server.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & Internet
    VPN
    .
  3. Tap the
    Add icon
     Add icon.
  4. If presented with a lock screen notification, tap
    OK
    .
    Refer to Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock for assistance.
  5. From the Name field, enter the appropriate name.
    If needed, contact the VPN admin for assistance with server info and other necessary credentials.
  6. If applicable, tap
    Show advanced options
     to configure the following, which may vary depending on the selected VPN type:
    • DNS search domains
    • DNS servers
    • Forwarding routes
