CTL Chromebook NL71CT-L - Add a Virtual Private Network

Here's how to add a virtual private network (VPN) to your CTL Chromebook to encrypt your internet traffic and protect your online identity via a secure remote server.
  1. From a Home screen, navigate:
    Launcher
    Settings
    Network
    .
  2. Tap or click
    Add connection
    .
  3. Tap or click
    Add OpenVPN / L2TP
    .
  4. If presented with a lock screen notification, tap or click
    OK
    .
    Refer to Screen Lock for assistance.
  5. From the Server hostname field, enter the appropriate name.
    If needed, contact the VPN admin for assistance with server info and credentials.
  6. From the Provider type field, tap or click the
    dropdown menu
     dropdown icon then select the VPN type.
  7. Enter the needed info into the applicable fields then tap or click
    Connect
    .
    If applicable, tap or click (check)
    Save identity and password
     to turn on or off.
