Add / Remove Face Recognition

Use facial recognition on your Galaxy A02s to secure your device and personal info. If you decide to switch methods, you can delete your face data anytime.

Before you begin

Steps

  1. Open
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Biometrics and security
    Face recognition
    .
  3. Enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • For first-time setup:
      1. While holding the phone 8-20 inches away, position your face within the outline displayed on the screen.
      2. Tap the
        Stay on Lock screen switch
         to turn on or off  then tap
        Done
        .
      3. From the Useful features menu, tap the switch(es) to turn each option on or off (e.g., Face unlock, Stay on Lock screen unit swipe, etc.) then tap
        OK
        .
    • To remove face data:
      1. From the Face recognition menu, tap
        Remove face data
        .
      2. To confirm, review the disclaimer then tap
        Remove
        .
