Activate / Set Up Device

Activate your Galaxy Z Fold3 5G to get started. This ensures you can make calls, send messages, and connect to the internet.

Before you begin

If using a physical SIM card, make sure there's a 5G SIM is inserted into the device before powering on

If the eSIM profile fails to download, refer to Download and Activate an eSIM after device setup is completed.

Press and hold the

Power button

until the device begins to power on. Select your language then tap

Start

Review the Terms and Conditions then tap

Agree

Confirm the correct phone number displays then tap

To set up your phone using an old phone, select

Galaxy or Android device

iPhone or iPad

. Otherwise, tap

Set up manually

Connect to a Wi-Fi network.

To copy apps and data, tap

to transfer your content now or tap

Don't copy

Set up a screen lock and face or fingerprint recognition to secure your device.

From the Samsung services screen, tap the applicable switch(es) to turn on or off then tap

Agree

Follow the onscreen prompts to review and accept the Google Services option (e.g., Gemini, Location, etc.).

To set up Verizon Cloud, review the info then tap

Review the Verizon Digital Secure info, tap the

Checkbox

to turn on or off then tap

Sign into your Samsung account or create a new Samsung account.

Customize your settings then tap

Done

to complete your setup..
