Customize Your Home Screen

Personalizing the Home screen on your moto g pure makes daily tasks easier. Add, remove, or arrange apps, use widgets, or set a wallpaper that matches your style.

Add Apps

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Drag-and-drop the shortcut onto the preferred Home screen location.

Add Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
  2. Tap
    Widgets
    .
  3. Touch and hold a widget.
  4. Drag-and-drop the widget onto the preferred Home screen.
  5. If applicable, tap additional options to activate the widget.

Add / Remove Folders

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a shortcut (e.g. Email).
  2. Drag-and-drop the shortcut onto another shortcut (e.g. Gmail) to create a folder.
  3. Do any of the following:
    • To rename a folder:
      1. Tap the folder then select
        Edit Name
        .
      2. Enter a name then tap the
        Checkmark icon
         on the keypad.
    • To remove a folder:
      1. Drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.

Remove Apps / Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widgets, shortcuts, folders, etc.).
  2. Drag-and-drop the item onto 'Remove' at the top of the screen.

Set Wallpaper

  1. Touch and hold a blank space on a Home screen.
  2. Tap
    Wallpapers
    .
  3. Select a folder (e.g., My Photos, Dynamic, etc.)
  4. Locate then select the preferred picture.
  5. Tap the
    Checkmark icon
     then select one of the following:
    • Home screen
    • Lock screen
    • Home screen and lock screen
