Pixel 6 / 6 Pro - Stop Running Apps

Here's how to stop running apps if they freeze / hang or cause your Pixel 6 / 6 Pro to crash, reset or run slowly.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Apps
    See all apps
    .
  3. Locate then select the appropriate app.
    If system apps aren't visible, navigate:
    Menu icon Menu icon
    Show system
    .
  4. Tap
    Force stop
    .
  5. Review the notification then tap
    OK
     to confirm.
