Declutter your workspace and organize your favorite tools. Learn how to effortlessly pin and unpin apps on the Windows® 11 Start menu.

Before you begin

Windows 11 does not use Live Tiles; however, apps can be pinned or unpinned to the Start menu.

Pin an App to the Start Screen and/or Taskbar

  1. Open the
    Start menu
    .
  2. Select
    All apps
    .
  3. Locate the applicable app then press and hold for 2 seconds or right-click.
  4. Select
    Pin to Start
     or choose
    More
     then select
    Pin to taskbar
    .

Unpin an App from the Start Menu

  1. Open the
    Start menu
    .
  2. Locate the applicable app then press and hold for 2 seconds or right-click.
  3. Tap or click
    Unpin from Start
    .
