Turn GPS Location On / Off

GPS location access is needed by some apps on your Windows® 11 device to provide turn-by-turn directions or share your location, but can be turned off to save battery life.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Start menu
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Settings
    Privacy & security
    Location
    .
  3. Select the
    Location services switch
     to turn on or off.
  4. If the 'Location services' switch is turned on, choose which apps can use your location by selecting the applicable on/off switches to the right of the app.
